A) There had to have been a master key/card. How long to get it up to the 31st floor, 5 mins max?
B) In that time, depending on how long the cop had been there at the hotel, someone HAD to have known the layout of the room, where the windows were etc. You know the windows he shooting out of, maybe one or two max. you have 4 men, each armed. Looks like there may have even been two entrances, I'm not sure, but if so even better.
C) Yeah, MAYBE the doors are booby-trapped. But you have to take that chance. The one thing that is SURE is the guy is sending rounds downrange and killing people. You roll the dice. Some action is always better than NO action.
D) So worst case scenario, one entrance and you don't have his/their firepower. You stack at the door, use card to get into room while perp is firing. So you have four semi-auto's in the room probably before perp has time to realize rooms been entered. Even if multiple perps you still have the advantage of surprise.
As for him having a funnel to shoot in the entryway, that is true. But he can't shoot out a window while maintaining eyes on the door behind him, especially with his eye in a scope/red dot. Advantage attacking force (while perp is firing out window at crowd)
JMHO

Yea I could see them using a key, but I wouldn’t be knocking. I’m just wondering how hard it would be to pinpoint the gunfire coming from a certain room. That’s why I’m not gonna sit here and call him a coward, cause only lord knows what I would do if in that position.

you pretty much combined the legit parts of our comments which is pretty hard to argue against..

Okay now that I've quoted you are you happy? They had no idea at this point that there was only one guy in there. if he had bombs, etc. The dude even had video camera outside his room. He could have easily just shot through the door and killed all four of them. But thanks for your input Captain Hindsight.

Your boy wants to use a key card for entry while a security guard was already shot through the walls.

They were waiting on their orders from their deep state handlers

The Army could do it easily, but in order to do it properly and really weed out who they needed to would mean they'd have an army that is too small.
But that's not the point, there were FIVE freaking guys. FIVE. Its not like this cop was by himself. Frankly the guy froze, its BS that none of the others took over when he FROZE.
There's a good chance one of the 3 security guards was prior military or police considering they all had weapons. I'm not taking the blame away from all of them. Its not like Hendrix was running away, he simply froze. They all should have stepped up.
Check the rooms door by door, open one and clear it. Once in the room it would have been pretty obvious if there was shooting.
As said, no one said to engange and kill the shooter. You engage the shooter with FIVE people and get the shooter to direct his attention to you and not unarmed civilians.

a-hole was firing hundreds of rounds from multiple guns. The cops are just humans.
frick that. Give me a key to the room, body armor, couple cans of tear gas to toss in there, and a shotgun with buckshot and I could easily clear that hotel room and would.

Is this when the conspiracy theorists will say he was paid off by the saudi’s Since the saudi’s Did it

For the people asking, the officers were told the floor and room number of where paddock was shooting from. You can hear in the video

meh he was probably a basic patrol officer or something - if you want to expect more out of them pay more to get it.

Lol really? Theyve been trying for years to figure it out. Maybe you should enlighten them

Natural instincts work man. Most can’t overcome them.

I’d bet dollars to donuts you’d freeze too.

So.... get shot through the door like the other dude did? Because... like... he had cams up in the hallway and knew when the cops were coming...

I think that's what they were waiting on.

Gordon McKernan would have rushed into that hotel room because he's a peacemaker and is blessed.

How many Rangers and Special Ops guys freeze? Don't tell me they can't test that's BS, they just need grunts to clean the shitters and drive the trucks too. They won't join if they know they won't ever be in real combat, that's not how recruiting works.

Lol, ok. Cause you IRL know me and that I haven't been shot at?
ETA: Your point is MOOT anyway. This has nothing to do with being shot at. It has everything to do with protecting innocent people. There's a big difference.

I don't think the resources are available to give every patrol officer Spec Ops training unfortunately
