I have no doubt he doesn’t love this other woman. If he did after 12 years she would be his wife or at least living with her.

What if she is the one who doesn’t want to get married? I’ve thought about that. They share a rental but he travels for work. Says he doesn’t go home. I think he has been home twice this year for about a week each time.

He's shacking up on the road with multiple kittens & needs to add another time share love shack to his collection. If you're in to sharing and swapping stds, he's for you. This nostalgic hook up has so many red flags - you can't seriously be considering this. I've run a similar game successfully for years, so maybe you are considering it - don't.

It sounds like if this guy says that he still feels the same and y’all picked up where it left off as if it was yesterday then he probably isn’t messing around with you. That’s a long time to not to move on so I would say why not

Thoughts? Advice?

Someone who's willing to stay in a shitty relationship for 12 years is not someone I would ally myself with.

I'm willing to be a lot more understanding for people under 28, but once you are in you're 30s, it shouldn't take more than a year to figure out a relationship isn't going anywhere.

Why not? Well I’d like to spare myself some heartache and maybe an unplanned pregnancy.

He works. She mooches. I think he likes having her on the stick (not the magic stick but the money stick). But either way…you’re on to something

He’s just not that into you and/or he’s a loser who you’re better off staying away from.

There’s not really another option.

I mean..life is too short to put in a decade on something that isn't mutually beneficial.

Imagine working everyday for 12 years on a project that you ultimately just toss in the trash.

Humans aren’t wired to be happy. They are wired to be comfortable. I think his mutually not beneficial relationship is at least predictable. I never said he was emotionally stable. But…you can’t help who you love. The whole thing is fricked up as a soup sandwich.
