Corgi's fricking own, dude. I have a rescued corgi mix and she's one of the biggest alpha dogs I've ever encountered. Keeps me endlessly entertained. I'd rather have a corgi with an awesome , smart personality than a stinky, stupid chocolate lab just so I can fit in with my baws.
I've adopted two corgi mixes and they were both awesome, although one was a bit lazy. I miss them both to death

I got one of mine from Immer Essen farms in Tennessee. The woman who runs it, Cesmere, breeds with a woman from Memphis. I have one of those pups.
He is the best dog I've ever owned.

Quite a blanket statement. Dogs are a 10+ year time investment. You may as well get what you want.

Reading your post tells me you're one of those douches that wants to gift a dog to his wife, then she'll get bored with it, then you guys won't want to take care of it, then you'll be one of those assholes that makes a thread on here about where to give it away or sell it.

Dang - checked their website and it looks like they haven't and won't be breeding for some time, if at all.

Yeah, I'll always go to the pound or a shelter or foster care for a dog but I understand why people would go through a breeder.

I've had 3 dogs in my life and all three came to me....I didn't get designer dogs.
Granted 2 of them were purebred dog.
I saved both of them from shitty situations.

It is hard to frick up Corgis - they are pretty intelligent.
I've only interacted with two Corgis in my life, and one was very smart (well-trained would be a better distinction I guess). Friend of mine had one, and it was borderline retarded. But entertaining. They had a birdhouse hanging from a tree, and if you swung it like a pendulum, the dog would chase it back and forth, barking at it the whole time until it stopped.

Thanks for your assessment but this is not an impulse decision - we have talked it over for a long time. Although Dallas is absolutely rotten with those type of folks so I can't blame you for playing the odds. This is not a decision I have taken lightly.

want to get one from a good pedigree and lower the risk for expensive health issues.
Just FYI, full bread dogs almost always have more health issues than pound mutts

I think they had a litter in November. I would call or contact them if you're interested. Their website is, um, rather lackluster.

Why not just adopt and save a life?
This holier than thou mindset of those who adopt from the pound is dumb and shallow.

bitch dogs! ha ....To the OP, I would suggest this: furminator brush
My corgi's hair is a never ending battle , and not one you will win.
They are loud and bossy, but awesome and hearty dogs. Although mine is confined to a crate for a month after injuring his leg chasing a squirrel

Thank you - I appreciate adopting, it is just not my preference.
