Finally giving in to having mine pulled and I want someone with pillow hands. I've heard stories of people miserable for weeks afterward.
Anyone have a pleasant experience and care to refer a fellow OT'er.

Dr. Kennedy in Lafayette. He's the GOAT.

I travel a lot so either area is fine. Preferably not somewhere in between. I'm not trusting Pierre Part dentistry.

Don't have a regular dentist do it.....look for an oral surgeon and have them give you iv sedation to knock you out.
That's what I did. Don't remember any of it. One minute they are placing an iv and giving me meds.....next minute I'm sitting in the car being driven home.

Yep, , Harold Kennedy, DDS.
He's actually from Nola. Came to Laffy after hurricane Katrina.

What is the recovery time? I do a lot of diving and will need a regulator/mouthpiece in. I wonder how long that will put me out.

How old are you? The longer they've been in there, typically the longer recovery because of how rooted they are in the jaw.

Get a bottle of Whiskey and pull those bastards yourself. Be a real man about it.

Dr. Robb Heinrich. He's in Spokane, Washington but he's awesome. You'll thank me later.

Kennedy, without a doubt. Used to be a damn fast motocross rider too.

Late 20's. It's probably half way out my gums but I've noticed flossing getting harder due to crowding.

Lige Dunaway in Laffy, if he's still practicing there

I would imagine that would depend on if the wisdom teeth are impacted or not. Mine were...which means they were completely under my gums and pushing on the rest of my teeth. I didn't have a ton of pain after...put they gave me percocets to take every 6 hours for pain and I took them every 6 hours for like 3 days

Lige is still in practice. My wife goes to him.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Now off to see who takes my insurance.

he's a really good dentist and great guy too, and he doesn't believe in his patients experiencing pain unnecessarily
