Probably a long time. We have thousands of small uninhabited stands in the inner channels with plenty of things to harvest.

The problem with 28 days later “zombies” is twofold. Speed is the killer here, there’s no safely getting away once you’re spotted. But furthermore, the infection method. Like AIDs in North Baton Rouge, it’s easily spread through the bloodstream, not just bites.
I would live a very long time amongst TWD, and not long at all in 28 Days.

I feel I have a good shot since the people on the show don't use common sense and the zombies are fairly easy to kill. The biggest threat will always be people trying to take what you have. Best bet would be to hide out somewhere remote and live alone or with as few people as possible.

First - hopefully until old age. A lot of family land back up in the woods near the Savannah River. Should be defensible, however people would be a bigger threat than zombies. If people were out of the equation and weren't general a-hole looter/killers, then as long as we had a way to keep the zombies out of the land then I don't see an issue. Tools/equipment/etc would be a concern, though.
Second - 28 days later type. There really isn't much one can do unless its some pacific island or something.
