Definitely go with Maui!!! Much better lens than either. Ray Bans are garbage.

Random search showed me that Paul walker was wearing the style when he had his fatal wreck. :/

Not a fan of Wayfarers. I opted for the carbon fiber ones Woody Harrelson wore in True Detective. Lenses are nothing special but I feel cool as frick wearing them.

Have 3 different Ray Ban's and 2 pairs of Costa's. If doing Costa's go for the upgraded lenses--580 P I think. One of my pair has the 580P's and the other not. Costa's wrap around styles are good for times when you're on water. Otherwise I don't really wear the Costa's. The Ray Ban's are at the bottom of the car console and rarely get worn. For reference I also have Randolph Engineering (meh on lense clarity) and a couple pairs of Oakley's which are about the same as Ray Ban's or Costa's for lense clarity.

Given the choice I'd buy Serengeti's with the Bronze Driver's lenses (have 4 pairs) and Maui Jims (only 1 pair but their the Titanium version) before either. When I reach for glasses it's almost always the Serengeti's.

I have maui jims and costas

People hate on costa now but their customer service is still by far the best. My costas are 15 years old, have sent them in twice and they basically refurbish them, never been charged a dime.

Ray ban doesn’t even replace lenses at all as far as I’m aware, so seems unfair to move to Rayban on that basis

I'm far from a douche fratstar, been wearing Costa's since they came out and have found them to be best overall brand by far & I've tried most of the other brands. Nothing better on the water for sure.

That I believe. Unfortunately, much like Columbia fishing shirts, the majority of people wearing them didn't actually get them for functionality.

Polarized 580G glass does a great job cutting the glare off of water. I don’t care who else buys them they’re damned good lenses.

+1 on the Tom Ford suggestion. More expensive but damned nice looking sunglasses. I also like some of the Oliver Peoples frames.
