Those are two diametrically opposed views in this situation.

If you're truly pro law enforcement, you'll cringe when you see them out of line and putting their lives needlessly in danger. They were way out of line.

Can’t fathom there’s any sane person that can defend the fbi at this point.

Isn't it funny how liberals always want to blame conservatives for the mistakes and crimes of the liberal communists in this country? Willie says hello and Reno says KMA.

Ruby was before Willie and Reno, they were on board for Waco, but were still new. Let’s not lie to ourselves both parties like having the gov complicit in these events.

Ruby Ridge is the genesis to what eventually led to the OKC bombing. That and Waco was terrible.

In September 1995, Randy Weaver testified: On August 22, 1992, completely without warning of any kind, an FBI sniper shot and killed my wife, Vicki. He was using a .308 caliber sniper rifle with a specially weighted barrel and a 10-power scope. He was using match grade ammunition. He had years of training to kill. I heard him testify at the trial that he wanted to kill. He shot my wife in the head and killed her. She was not wanted for any crime. There were no warrants for her arrest. At the time she was gunned down, she was helpless. She was standing in the doorway of her home. She was holding the door open for me and Sara and for Kevin Harris. She was holding Elisheba, our 10-month-old baby girl, in her arms. As the bullet crashed through her head, she slumped to her knees, holding Elisheba tightly so she would not drop her. We took the baby from her as she lay dead and bleeding on our kitchen floor.

ATF just wrote the warrant for Weaver after he sold a sawed off shotgun to an informant

Which was complete bullshite anyway, it was like a 1/4” too short and they went after him so hard on it including fricking up his court date that caused the warrant because he wanted to be left alone and didn’t want to be a pawn in their game to go after white nationalists.

This is more like the government knowing you once had a friend that ended up becoming a drug dealer (real thing was he took his kids to some big family outings that were run by white nationalists but he stopped going to them.) Now they want you to become friends with him again so they can figure out his supplier. You don’t want to be part of that shite so you tell them no. So they send someone else to look for any toe out of line you may do, in this case you tried to do something legally but you were barely out of compliance, so they come after you and try to get you to go after the supplier again and will let you off of the shite charge. You say no again and choose to go to court. Well they don’t like that, so they change the court date on you and don’t let you know the correct date. So instead of coming arrest you, they send a secret team to spy on you on your property and then shoot your dog because it alerts you to their presence trespassing on your yard. You have no idea who the frick is hiding on your property killing your dogs right in front of you, so your son starts shooting at them and this whole mess just gets worse from there.

The dude sued the government and won, the only charge that stuck was the failure to appear in which the government failed at providing a clear date he was supposed to appear.

Our government is pretty shite sometimes…

I admit, I should know more about Ruby Ridge, but Waco?

Man thought he was Jesus w/ a 50 caliber and tons of other weapons. While it should have been handled better, it is 99.99% on that nut job and his fanatics. This board loves f around and find out, well he did.

Yes, after they shot his dog for the fun of it and then shot his 14 year old son in the back and killed him. The 14 year old was running away from gunfire.

He was a gun dealer, that’s how they made their money. He could have easily been arrested, the ATF was trying to justify their existence at the time and needed a big win.

What he was doing to the kids made him a sick sick individual, but the ATF has no part in that. FBI and ATF did some fricked up shite all around here. ATF lied to the governor of Texas to get the helicopters they used in the initial raid. FBI lied to Reno about the gas they put into the building. Lots of fricked up shite went down.

These two events caused massive changes to negotiation tactics or lack thereof by our federal government because of how fricked up they ran things.

What’s more amazing is our judicial system back then still worked like it should and not only acquitted them but the govt had to pay restitution.

That wouldn’t happen today. Just look at how the Jan 6 protesters were treated

What about when they beat up black guys, or frame them for crimes that land them on death row?

Many folks who cry over Ruby Ridge, though I’m sure there are none on TD, tend to come up with any excuse to defend the cops in those other situations and are skeptical as hell of claims of police abuse.

If you’re gonna call out shitty police work, don’t limit it to when the victims are white conservatives.
