I consider it a tragedy of the modern age that our office is on the main circuit and the power rarely goes out.

Sorry to hijack your thread. About a week ago I received a email from a gentleman that clearly didn’t do his sales preparation checks or homework. He wanted to help increase my company’s SEO etc. I’m in Sales so I can understand working leads, but I’m not in charge of our international company website (nor it’s family of companies) - so I informed him that clearly he hadn’t done his homework and was “an idiot”. About a day later I get a call from one of our VP’s asking me if I knew so and so - the name sounded vaguely familiar.
Well evidently this spam sales guy emailed one of our Presidents and informed her of my unprofessionalism and that I should be reprimanded. Her name is a basic 4 letter name (ex Mary and so is her email) - he misspelled her name!!
The VP thought it was a little humorous especially since the guy couldn’t spell the President’s name- I should’ve just deleted the damn thing.

I was trying like hell to shorten it up. In a nut shell: I emailed a spammer he got pissed, he emailed a upper level president and it backfired on him(spammer)
