I was at my daughters softball tournament this past weekend in Davis Junction, IL (pop 2400). We went to this 'sports bar and pizzeria' as a team for lunch. The only sports banner in the building, hanging from the center of the ceiling was a 2003 National Championship banner. I asked the 'ladies' how this got there, neither knew. Thought it was pretty cool none the less.
Also, this morning on my way to work from Oswego to Naperville, saw a truck with LSU Alumni license plate cover.

!993 or 94, in Perm, Russia. A rack of about 10 to 15 new LSU starter jackets. I suppose the Chinese were dumping them in Russia during the Hallman era, when LSU's football fortunes were at their nadir.

Huskisson, New South Wales, Australia (pop. 786)
Huskisson was a neighboring town to where I lived with a nice pub. I was there one day and saw someone with an LSU jacket on. I asked him about it, and they were a student there, and was spending the summer (winter in Oz) bike riding around. We talked for a bit; gave him some ideas of places nearby worth a visit. I lived over 9,000 miles away from Baton Rouge for five years and the only American I met that whole time was from friggin' Baton Rouge.
EDIT: Over the years, I've sent a ton of LSU and Saints shite to my nephew in Sydney. He loves wearing American crap, so he continues to represent in the land down under.

There’s a restaurant in Miami called Garcia’s owned by the family of Luis Garcia, former LSU baseball player and CWS champion. These photos are from last week when I was there.

Coiba island off Panama, it's a prison island.
I went on week long fishing trip and you land on the prison island then take dingy over to boats. As soon as you land the prisoners come panhandle trying to sell you trinkets and shite they made. They're all wearing LSU and Saints stuff along with many other teams.

At Narita airport in Tokyo a baggage handler was loading my bag into a van saying something to the other workers in Japanese. He sees my LSU baggage tag and turns to me and asks in perfect English, "what do you think about Les Miles?" I asked how do you know about LSU football? He said, "because I graduated from there a couple of years ago."
