That is my point. If the system needs to detect color in order to detect a human being, the system is defected. Back to the drawing board they go.

You ever drive down the road at night just to have a dark skinned person in dark clothes and dark hair just walk out in the road in front of you?

I was inches from hitting a dude one night and the ONLY reason I swerved was that I saw the light from his phone he was looking at.

If i had hit him, I don’t think i’d Have been at fault.

This was the middle of a busy road, not even at an intersection.

People that know they are camouflaged in the dark need to take even more care to wear reflective clothing, especially at night if they are gonna walk all willy nilly.

Need to bring back common sense.

I almost hit someone a couple weeks ago because they were wearing dark clothes at night, walking on the wrong side of the road.

I don't trust it. Especially self driving cars.

But you trust distracted drivers with their heads down staring at their phone? This technology will save countless lives. It probably already would at it's current infant stage if it were implemented tomorrow.

If it worked off of infrared technology, everyone is the same temperature.
Would the infrared car be less likely to hit fat people since jaywalking is enough exercise for fatties to work up a sweat and put off a higher heat signature?
