I found that it messed with my short term memory. So I stopped it.

Get glasses that filter blue light. Use brown light on your phone and computer at night. Get sun during the day by taking a walk. Limit caffeine to one cup in the AM.
Buy some high quality Valerian Root. Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland. You don’t want to take it for more than a few weeks.

Take it one night and find out. How it affects you may be different from how it affects others.

I've had a boss try to pick an argument with me in front of department heads in the middle of a meeting over melatonin. Tried telling me it doesn't work and that it's all in your head.
I just stared at him along with everyone else in the room. He was fricking stupid. He got fired not long after I quit.

Be careful with the sleep aids. They might put you in too deep of a sleep and you won't feel her roll on you and kill you

i have in the last few years develop trouble sleeping. i just dont get tired and will just lay there in bed. My "bedtime" is later than probably most people, 2-3 am. My go to cocktail now is one melatonin pill and two kirkland sleep aid pills. really helps but yes, you do feel groggy at wake up time but a cup of coffee helps that. you get over it quick.
