I purchased tickets on 9/27 to an event that takes place on 11/2 (out of state). I have not received the tickets in my StubHub app - no concern, I know they are coming. It states that the tickets can be delivered to my app as late as 11/1. What is the hold-up here, in terms of why can it take this long when everything is done electronically?

After purchasing tickets, I have since found out that we won't be able to attend. Can I relist the tickets for sale on StubHub that I have purchased, even though I don't "technically" have them in my possession (app)?

And as if you can't tell, this was/is my first time using StubHub.

Sounds like you got the tickets through StubHub? If they are digital they should be able to help you out.

Usually you need the barcode off the ticket to be able to resell the tickets digitally.

Yes, I did. I haven't received bar code, yet - so I guess I will have to wait until I receive it.

Does StubHub build in a lot of cushion between the time a buyer buys them and a seller sells them?

Obviously, with my event more than a month away, I'd rather list them sooner than later to give me more exposure and a better chance of reselling them.

You bought tickets yesterday and found out today you can't go? Well that's kind of silly.

Be patient, the seller likely doesn't have the tickets in hand yet (physically or digitally), that is what the hold up is. Once the seller gets them, they will be automatically transferred to you. Then you will be able to list them for sell.

Yes, as a surprise. I guess you could say the surprise is really on me now.

Normally for these events they don't "deliver" to your email or app till 24-48 hours beforehand.

Depending on the event itself yes you can resell them. Normally they would then be transferred but some events don't allow resell so I would check that first.

Ticketmaster is likely not providing the tickets to the original purchaser until days before the event. That's the case with many of their events.
