Most new SUVs have an option that comes with 20" black wheels. I think they look pretty slick and wouldn't mind getting that just because of the look. My question is, do these get damaged ( nicks and scratches ) that are noticeable?

Anyone have experience with these after several years of wear and tear?

TIA

Can you drive without hitting curbs?

They are painted/powder coated... They will show damage the week you purchase it when your wife curbs the rim.

I had black wheels on a mega cab and I loved them. Easy to maintain.

I now just pick a factory wheel I like and leave it alone.

Don't see how they can be any easier to maintain than any other wheel

My new Silverado came with black wheels and I think they look great. They'll stay that way if you can avoid curbs That said, they get dirty real easy and look closer to a beige color if you don't keep them washed/shined

You get had an aftermarket chrome wheel or aluminum wheel that you had to polish?

Have a set of these and tell how the black wheels are not easier to maintain.

Nothing screams AP housewife quite like black wheels on an SUV.

That said, I have black wheels on my truck and love them. It’ll all look gawdy in 5 years though.
