Looking for a watch for the wife. Found this online, but it's half the price it is anywhere else. Makes me question it's validity, but everything seems to check out.

Jomashop is an excellent site. Have bought several watches from them. It amazes me that someone would go and buy a watch from a jeweler or other retail store

it's probably just a late model/style that the brand doesn't make much more of anymore.

quote:

The Jomashop Guarantee
is refreshing to read but that could mean different things. I was once given a Cartier watch that had guaranteed authenticity, but when I went to check it out at the Cartier store, I was told it was a fake. The clerk told me that a lot of stores will put that statement on there and use authentic parts within the watch but not necessarily the entire watch itself.

GRANTED, the watch was purchased overseas where counterfeiting and taking advantage of tourists happens quite often ha.

you know how the saying goes, "if it seems too good to be true..."

Typical with watches, the MSRP vs what the watch should actually sell for. It looks like a good deal until you realize only idiots will pay retail in the first place.

Gray market. The site is real and the watch will be real. It also may have the serial number removed. Sometimes they do that. But I don't think they would on a Tag.
