I guess it would be better if they just threw the cells, which have already been removed from the mother and the pregnancy terminated, into the trash can instead.

We found out we are having our first child. I saw the heartbeat yesterday at 6 weeks.

Ok. But it didn’t. And the vaccine developer had nothing to do with aborting it.
They can either take the material and use it for something beneficial, or it can be discarded.

This is such a weird line in the sand to draw. They used fetal cells from a fetus aborted in 1985, 35 years ago, to develop this vaccine. They've used the same type of fetal cells to develop almost every other vaccine in recent history.
How many potential lives will be saved from one aborted fetus? And it's not like they held this woman down and forced her to do it, she was going to aborted the fetus anyway, might as well get some use out of it.
This is a political stance veiled as a moral one. The church has way more blood on its hands than this vaccine ever will.

The individual pharmacies that are vaccinating have zero control of which vaccine the government sends them on a given week. I’ve yet to get any vaccine other than Moderna, while friends of mine have received both Moderna and Pfizer.

You are making the implication that the abortion is performed so that the cells can be given to a developer for research. That is total nonsense and completely false.
The mother aborts the baby. The clinic either discards the tissue, or the cells that can be beneficial to medical research can be preserved for such use.
The abortion happened either way, regardless of the vaccine company.
I guess the answer is that you’d rather it all just go into the dumpster?

If ten million doses of that vaccine are administered, there will not be one more or less abortion. But those vaccine doses may save the lives of some recipients or persons in the community. So if you are pro-life, you should encourage the vaccine to be used to save lives.

Ok? That still isn’t why the abortions are being performed. The mother is aborting the baby either way.
Why not use what can be beneficial? We do the same thing with children and adults who die when possible

It wasn’t killed to save another. It was killed, and then used by a separate entity to save another.
J&J had zero to do with the decision to abort. Their job is to make medicines and vaccines to save lives. They would be neglecting their job if they turned down material that would help them do that. The fetus was going to be dead whether they accepted it or not.
