Plantation is one of the best courses in this area. Unless it has really gone downhill in the past year.

Played a bunch last month. It's in excellent shape

The reason is who are they attracting? It's far from NOLA and BR for the daily commuter. If you're a professor at SLU or work in Hammond, then perhaps it's worth living there. Not to mention, do you really think the houses and overall layout are appealing?

It's a great layout.

I like the course because it is one of the few that I don't feel like I am paying through a neighborhood the whole time.

It does suffer from being in BFE, but I could travel there and back and play a round in less time than a Saturday round at Santa Maria or Pelican Point goat ranch.

Not the course layout, the neighborhood layout. Seems blah.

Santa Maria was quick yesterday. Finished right at 4 hours.

That's blistering for SM. I'm sure a home game helped.

Where is this Carter you speak of? Surely can't be Carter Plantation. That place is a dump

Carter is, and has been, in great shape. Greens are very good right now.

Those greens are trash ... They need to blow them up and start over

I wouldn't play this dump if you threatened to dump hot grease on my nuts and down my legs.

Think it is due to the grass. I know they have always fought to keep them cool.

ETA looking at pics on instagram the course looks to be in great shape. Some people obviously have no idea what they are talking about.
