It's authorized for emergency use, not approved. Pfizer and Moderna are in the process of applying for full approval.

That still doesn't make the vaccine dangerous or untested, which is what the critics of the vaccine say it is. It's gone through rigorous testing, hundreds of millions of doses have been put into arms, and as far as we know there are minimal adverse effects. It's safe.

Not FDA approved, so you're wrong.

I understand, but FDA approval is a different process than EUA.

So fricking what? If it's a safe, effective treatment, why does how long it's been in production matter?

you are wrong, sorry you can't read

quote:

On December 11, 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued the first emergency use authorization (EUA) for a vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in individuals 16 years of age and older. On May 10, 2021, the FDA expanded the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine to include adolescents 12 through 15 years of age. The emergency use authorization allows the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine to be distributed in the U.S.

Oh, always.

FWIW, I got mine. I did so after discussing with my own doctor.

But I do respect the rights of others to decline if they wish.

If so, why do I need to get vaccinated when the old and "at risk" can simply get themselves vaccinated and therefore they are protected?

So the virus doesn't keep spreading at a rate where it can mutate into enough variants to render the vaccines useless and set us back several months. That's basic science.

Fortunately, we're almost at the point where enough people have had it to prevent that.

No? Why don't we? How long is required for the vaccine to be deemed "safe?"

People on the O-T: “COVID isn’t dangerous it’s only killed 500k!”

Also people on the O-T: “4000 out of 131 million is too many. Don’t get the vaccine!”

So a young healthy person choosing not to take an experimental vaccine for an illness that does not affect them, in addition to the vaccine not being FDA approved makes you a conspiracy theorist now?

Lol.

Y'all are the actual conspiracy theorists.

You are a fricking retard, my dude. Sorry for the bluntness.
