Just like the last thread man. They just don’t get it.
This is a bad thing for the state of Louisiana

Consumption taxes make way more sense than income taxes.
Maybe if we exclude the essentials necessary for life such as food or clothing etc, otherwise no. It’s a regressive tax that puts the most burden on people who can least afford it. I’m sorry you don’t like paying income taxes but be grateful you’re in a bracket that has to (assuming you are)

So basically you pay off your home but you never own it because you pay property taxes every year.
Do you stop using the water and sewer and power lines when you have satisfied your obligation to the bank and get clean title while maintaining the house as your primary residence?
Think about what you said again for just a moment and check back in if the light ever goes off in your head.

These retards are not "conservative" in any sense. The mouth breathers just want to punish those evil, dirty poors.
You cannot reason with these idiots.

Dude these are the types of people who believe having high quality schools in your neighborhood provide zero benefit or purpose to you if you don't have kids in said school.
And before you laugh, that was a legitimate argument on the poliboard yesterday.

My uncle who does meth loves the state. What does that have to do with anything?
Well, he's a loser for one and not in any situation to make decisions for Louisiana...

Well, your just brain dead. A thread about how the move will help close deficit, and a moron posts he doesn't prioritize the state.
Can't make this shut up.
I'm sure you have so many jaw dropping moves in mind...please share

I honestly don’t know if you mean my fake uncle or Jeff Landry

I'm not surprised. Good schools, good infrastructure, and good public works require funding and at a local level that means taxes.
It is well known that the best places to live are generally higher tax jurisdictions. That is not to say more tax is always good but you must adequately fund public goods to have a desirable place to live.
And consumption taxes are the worst, most regressive form of taxation possible. But the geniuses on TD are OBSESSED with muh No InCoMe TaX.
The rich and landed gentry in Louisiana are laughing all the way to the bank as these useful idiots cheer on more tax cuts for them.

That’s the funniest (saddest?) part of this whole thing. For the first time i think I’ve ever seen, the state isn’t even try to wrap this up in some bullshite to sell it. They’re telling everyone the consequences and the slick brained are lapping it up

So your taxes are going up. Just like I said and everyone called me an idiot for.
You're an idiot. Anyone who makes any sort of decent income will see little to no increase overall as a result of this change.
In a year, you'll be too embarrassed to keep spouting this stupid drivel.

What kind of stupid nonsense is this? We pay water, sewer, and power bills for these. This has nothing to do with property taxes.

"Regressive."
Translation: "everyone has to pay."

If your government is maintaining your power, sewer and water lines with property tax funding, you live in an extremely poor area where people don't pay their bills.
ETA: That would probably explain your opposition to consumption taxes.

You do realize that part of your property taxes fund things like....the water department. What does the water department do?
Being fat AND stupid is no way to go through life.
