I find it very funny when people bitch about gas prices. If you own and drive a vehicle, you need gas, period. You can control what type of vehicle you drive. You can pass on other choice items such as cigarettes, eating out etc. make these choices, but stop bitching about the cost of fuel.
I bitched about gas prices until I learned the mj2 fuel saving method.

Also, your post is almost mj2 dumb.

The demand isn't there. Plenty of supply, not enough demand.

So people weren't filling up their tanks 3 months ago and the economy was basically at a standstill? Supply and demand isn't about if there is a lot of supply available so it should be cheaper. Its about a balance of what you can charge and people are still willing to buy. People still bought at the high price. This low price is artificial to reduce competition, then they will go back to charging what people are willing to pay. I work in the oilfield, but will always shop for the cheapest gas on principle. If everyone did that, prices would be lower. But under the demand we have, people are willing to pay 10 cents more when its $3.20 a gallon. So obviously that's not the ceiling. Demand put oil prices at over $100. Right now the Walmart of oil companies came in and cut prices until the competition is gone and they can inch them back up.

Sheriff Joe has already scared many Mexicans from this area. They don't come to AZ as much now....they go to other states for work.

Scruffy will admit that the price of gas is now artificially deflated, but he contends that the previous prices were artificially inflated.

I do agree with this. The $65-$85 should be a fair sweet spot. My argument was more based on the assholes that drive to the pump in an escalade, purchase a carton of cigarattes, then says " frick Exxon" because of the cost of gas.

If you aren't typing on a piece of technology to make your posts, you can use magic.

His point was that the creation of the object you are using to search the web or post on requires oil.

A large number of every day products require oil for their production.

I'm aware of that, but that doesn't mean that some other technology won't overtake oil in the future.

Nothing dumb about that. Brother is a computer engineer and I sent the post to him, he said the math checks out.

Global demand is down. US production is up. We have an over supply of oil. No one is cutting prices. I don't think you know how this works.

Did you even read the article?

Ok a civic is acceptable.

Some of those are really nice on the inside. Now if you had a Tesla (course I realize those aren't hybrids.....just the best looking electric cars).

So people shouldn't buy things that they want just so they can pay more for gas?

Scruffy's civic isn't very nice anymore. The thing is almost 8 years old.

Also currently using the damn spare tire since Scruffy's sister dropped a bottle of wine in the driveway and then thought that nothing bad could happen and left the glass there.

Gotta get a new tire.

I just feel sorry for people with budgets so tight that an extra $30 on a fill up makes a difference. They must not make oil and gas money.

Y'all say that, but Scruffy would still buy a hybrid again. Spending even less on gas when gas is low is such an awesome thing.

If gas hits $1.50 a gallon, Scruffy'll be paying $18 to fill up completely.
