What are people expecting these files to say? A big "LBJ killed JFK" at the top? They will be released, and nothing groundbreaking will come out. And I guess that makes old Lyndon innocent. Nothing to see here.

While I am not expecting any huge revelation, I do find it interesting that some in the intelligence communities urged him to block the release for another period of time (don’t remember exactly how long- 30 years or something). Does sort of make you wonder what could be in there that would harm the intelligence community 50+ years later.

I suspect it is because the docs may make them appear incompetent and that they had adequate intel to know Oswald was serious about taking out the president.
In their view, it would look really bad on the agency for missing that, even if a long time ago.

Exactly.. if true, the released files would match the report just to have the impression that the Government doesn't lie. I already know what happened but I can't say.

That JFK Netflix doc proved without a shadow of a doubt that the fatal shot accidentally came from the standing-up secret service agent in the car behind JFKs car.
When JFK first gets shot by Oswald and holds his neck, the driver puts on his brakes. That makes the car behind them put on their brakes which makes the agent standing up lose his balance and accidentally shoots JFK in the head and is instantly dead. Just a horrible accident. There's no guarantee JFK would have survived the first shot, but the accidental 2nd shot eliminated his chances.
It explains the motive for a cover-up ( secret service taking over the autopsy, removal of the brain, and quick transfer of the body back to the plane), and the testimony of many of a nearby shot.

Ones things for sure- there is zero reason to make a decision on the bright sunny morning of 10/21/17 to open these files unless it in someway is going to further an agenda. you can bet it will hurt the credibility of the Russia investigation. Don't care for conspiracy theories but will be pulling out the popcorn for this one
