I think The White House realized that it scared the crap out of everyone last night and stated that the change only applies to newly produced aircraft going forward, so current operators would be safe.

However, it doesn't make any sense as certification applies to the airworthiness of a specific aircraft type. Build date has no standing on certification so this rule defies logic.

Small Gov is now a thing of the past for both parties.

It essentially no longer exists as a movement except when the other party has control

I guess it depends on the “we” you’re referring to. We talking about the founding fathers or Republicans within the last half century?

Yes, but he is trying to deter a company from actually buying one of these aircraft by making it cost-prohibitive due to tariffs.

Checks out.

I personally hate that tiny POS CRJ 200. If I never flew in another one it would be a win

United is the only one still flying them. Delta and American retired theirs.

The CRJ-700/900s would be the problem as it makes up roughly half of the regional jets in this country.

To put it concisely, you abandoned your principals which you never were too committed to them in the first place if they’re discarded at the earliest convenience

Makes sense that’s who I fly with.

The CRJ 700/900 are ok but I prefer the Embrair 175. Hell the ERJ 145 is 1000X better than the CRJ 200.

At least with the E145s you can get a seat on the single side which makes it so much better.

And I agree, the E175 is the best of the bunch when it comes to the regionals.

This is a clear “pump and dump” scheme.

Airline stocks, aircraft stocks, etc. will fall because of this. Trump’s cronies will buy up lots of the devalued stocks one day before he TACOs, at which time, the previously devalued stocks will rise sharply (The PUMP). Those who were “smart” enough to buy low, will sell high(The DUMP) and profit millions.

The issue here is that the Canadian Government has often had its hand in their aviation manufacturing. Currently, Quebec owns 25% of the Airbus a220 (formerly Bombardier CSeries)

Its obvious that Canada is denying Gulfstream certification to pull folks to their manufactured aircraft made by Bombardier.

No shite. A billionaire who has never cooked a meal or worried about a bill in his life is upset they won't certify his friends' fancy private jets. Fortunately, this probably won't actually affect the everyday buyer anyway.
