For those that dont remember Ida, this is a threat that involves sandpaper, tobasco, and your genitals if you muck up this thread with global warming and politics.

The tornado heading towards Bowie was back on the ground for about 4 frames.

The storms firing off around San Antonio will probably be the big ones to watch in the coming hours.

Bad day to be on 287.

And the south end of the dryline is starting to pop now.

That’s crazy. Meanwhile, I just texted mine to go ahead and walk home since there’s no warned cell directly over us.

Kids are probably safer at school than in many S La homes.

That is true in many cases, such as kids who live in mobile homes. However, schools also want to avoid responsibility if a tornado does hit a school and students or kids are killed. It seems like the closing schools/early dismissal thing for severe weather really picked up after the disaster at Enterprise High School in Enterprise, AL on March 1, 2007. That day an EF-4 tornado hit the high school in the middle of the day, killing 8 students.

I get it. It’s just weird to me bc if DFW cancelled school every time there was a threat of severe weather our kids would only go to the school in the summer.
