If the SPC’s prediction actually holds water this time it’ll be rocking and rolling.

Isn't that a good thing?

Well, mostly moist means dry as the Sahara Desert but I still don't know if that's good or bad.

I'd hop on that bet.

Was planning on going to the office Tuesday, but will probably work from home now.

These can change a good bit in 24 hour periods so maybe this can trend north and away from us. That’s scary to see them so confident as to put a moderate chance out this early.

They do and I’d put money on it trending north of us.

The question is where the southern surface low forms.

When was the last time BR was under a moderate risk 3 days out?

I may be out of commission on this one, baws. We just had a death in the family and have all that goes with it going. Just send some "thoughts and prayers" my way and buckle down the hatches. It could be a rough ride.

As you may have seen, SPC issued a rather rare Day 3 Moderate Risk for severe weather Tuesday. How rare? Here are (nearly) all of the prior instances since the D3 outlook started in late 2001. - 1st ever in March - 4th since the MRGL/ENH categories started in October 2014

This happens alot for that area, but one day it is bound to break the odds. Don't blow em all off.

That's a mean motor scooter, and a bad go-getter. Houston north suburban is under the gun Monday night--early Tuesday morning, and they're talking bout catastrophic flooding, hail, even a major tornado (EF-3 or bigger--very rare in this area).

Our worst weather has come on days where we weren’t even in an enhanced risk. One day in particular that I remember, I woke up with a slight risk, on my way to work it was bumped to an enhanced risk only because a bunch of severe cells popped up last minute. That day we had multiple tornados. Most of the time our worst comes in summertime storms that pop up out of nowhere.
