They will need a third party test done. See what drugs are in the system. I'd have to think something they treated him with caused a reaction. Or possibly there was undiagnosed heart condition. Though any autopsy should have picked that up.
This is sad. That young. Feel horrible for OP.
I couldn't imagine.

A third party testing may be required but I'll leave that up to my attorneys to decide. One thing that I had the medical examiner make absolutely clear was that they could find absolutely no physical defects in our son that would have caused him to suffer a cardiac arrest.
I just had a phone call with his regular pediatrician and he has been very open with us and both he and I are in 100% agreement on what happened. We both believe this clinic over treated our son and we believe they pushed too much fluid down his IV too fast. He stated that he's seen other cases where a 24 hour clinic over treated a patient but did not end up in something catastrophic. He stated that this is basically how they make money. They have low volume so they run unnecessary test and give unnecessary treatment.
He's encouraging me to keep searching for answers because he also believes that not just this clinic but all of them should not be treating pediatric patients. His words were "I encourage you to pursue this to make sure it can't happen to another child".

Why would you bump this thread after an entire year and a half

I bumped it but admins are deleting posts.
I bumped it because I’m generally concerned and pray that this family is recovering well.
I bumped it because there is a lesson in here about urgent care clinics that could possibly help warn others seeking medical attention.
I bumped it because I have a child now and the thought of going through this breaks my heart and I would like redstick13 to know I’m thinking about him and his family.
