I dont think Ochsner Baptist has a labor unit....they probably took her to Touro or Ochsner on Jefferson

Ochsner baptist is the main women's facility for the ochsner system. They absolutely have labor units. Prolly went to a second hospital on her own to make a stronger case.

My son was born at Baptist/Memorial but that was before Katrina..I thought after Katrina when they reopened they didnt open with a labor unit....I only say that because my wifes Dr moved to Touro and my daughter was born there instead of Memorial/Baptist

If her family was there, why would they need the zoo to call an ambulance for her? Since when are we requiring someone else to take care of us?

Because you are on their property. It's a liability thing. You report and act in an overly cautious manner to protect yourself from any further litigation. I find it strange that one wasn't called immediately by either party.

You have a hard time believing a gorilla throwing a block of wood can knock someone unconscious?

It's always best to move around people with head/neck injuries. Someone should have tossed her up into a Firemans carry and sprinted out of the zoo

After Katrina, Ochsner moved the labor unit to Main Campus. It has since moved back to Baptist.

They have a brand new suite for labor and womens care. She was at the perfect place for a pregnant lady.......

That hoodrat probably has ambulance chasers cumming on her front door dying for this case.

What likely happened is she didn't have insurance and that first hospital said oh hell no! Clear this case and get her the eff out.
