There have never been 6 consecutive numbers drawn in any national or international lottery, at least according to my quick Googling.

I'm doing one quickpick and one where I choose numbers based on sports jersey numbers that I've worn throughout my youth. I'll let you know which set wins.

I've read that numbers people pick themselves win at a slightly higher rate than the quick picks. There are vastly more quick picks, so there are more quick pick winners, but self-selected numbers win at a slightly higher rate than pure chance would suggest.

I often doubt how "random" quick pick numbers actually are. The Lotto agencies have incentive to defer winning and increase jackpot payouts.

Quickpick is good because the number combination selected is unique at the point the selections were made, so there is less of a chance of a split jackpot.
Are you certain about this?
I thought quick pick was just 6 completely random numbers

I meant that, for instance, there has never been 10-11-12-13-14, Powerball 15 drawn.

I also believe that every possible number has the same odds.
But
Can amyone explain mathematically why playing a card with either 3 enen numbers and 2 odd numbers is not betther than playing a card with either 5 even numbers or 5 odd numbers? Statistically since powerball started (at least i read somewhers) 75% of numbers have came up either 3even/2odd or 3odd/2even. This is also predictable because it fallows the law of averages fir the numbers having both a 50/50 chance of being odd or even.
Could ot be that you have to make different categories to calculate the odds?
-all even or all odd
-4 even 1 odd or 1 odd 4 even
-3 even 2 odd
-2 odd 3 even.
Can someone mathematically give an answer just because i cant figure the statistics out at the moment.
I still believe that all numbers have an equal chance of hitting and past events have no significance of future outcomes.
But the even/odd thing is making me question it only because with so many possible outcomes statistics can be challenging

You can't win if you don't play.
Posted on 1/11/16 at 4:36 pm to tigersint
Odds aren't good to win. They're like 1 in 16.

How often do the numbers come up from smallest to largest, without deviation?

Your time will be better spent studying English.

wait what? you mean with odds like 270 million to 1 those numbers haven't come up for ANY lottery?
thats like..mind blown.

It's kind of surprising that it hasn't happened anywhere in the world, considering 3 consecutives are not all that uncommon.
It probably has something to do with the fact that the process is just "mostly random" and not truly, 100% random. The balls are lined up in the sleeve before they go into the hopper the same way every time, etc.

Your reading comprehension is as good as your math.
That's oddly comforting.
