It's a lucky hat now. I would have it surgically attached to my scalp.

It's all he can afford.

Seriously though he had like $20 to his name when he bought the tickets.

I watched another video of him

He worked at the gas station, had 29 bucks left to his name, that was his GF at the time that wanted a new car and he had been wanting a bass boat his entire life

I wonder if people realize how much money is at stake here.

This isn't money that can just change your life. It's an opportunity for self-sustaining wealth for generations. Your name can become a brand.

You could live off the interest alone. It's incredible.

And for every one guy in that situation that won the powerball, all the rest went home broke and hungry.

It's also an opportunity to help your community or causes you're passionate about. I would become a full-time philanthropists. I see people talk about starting a business if they won and I scratch my head as to why. Invest it properly and do something to give back IMO.

I might invest in some businesses (almost certainly would) but I wouldn't take the time to run them myself. Definitely would give back to the community in some way. That could all be a write-off anyway. I'd have to consult some tax lawyers... well that's one of the first things I'd do if I won regardless.

best way to give back is to start a successful business, though

if you can cut into your margins by expecting less income via profit you can probably do a lot of good, too

My best friend's wife is a tax lawyer at a super duper law firm in Houston. She would be my first call.

What are some do's and dont's if you win???

DON'T rush to give money to churches and charities and if you do give, give a very reasonable amount

DO expect to lose some family and friends because somebody is going to get butthurt when you tell them NO

DO hire the best attorney and financial planner that you can find, right away

Fix that by leaving the country and going technology free for a bit.
