France has recorded its hottest day since records began in 1947, its national weather agency says, breaking a record set on Tuesday as an early summer heatwave grips western Europe.
The national temperature indicator - an average of day and night temperatures across dozens of locations - hit 30C, up from 29.8C a day earlier.
That's a high of 86°F with a heat index of 93°F! In their defense, only 25% of their homes have a/c . What's of the worst, if you have ever ridden the Metro, is the stench in the Metro, it makes Bourbon Street smell like Chanel No. 5!
"Oh là là" What is that smell?

Just read Asharad's post.
Yeah that's hot. But I have no sympathy for the French falling for the climate change hoax and not having AC

was over there for a couple of weeks during the last summer Olympics, it was miserable, don’t know why they’re so ac averse, and apparently against ceiling fans

They have their diversity to keep them cool.

I was seeing temperatures of 40 C reported just the other day.

Was there the first week in June. First day was maybe 89 degrees and sunny, but it felt hotter than what we have down here in south LA. After that, it was highs in the low 70s and lows in low 60s.
Just looked at their forecast. It’s going to hit 103 F today, but by next Thursday, the high is 71 with a low of 59. That’s some wild swings.

The French and British are bitching on social media and proclaiming that this spells the end of humanity as climate change has been proven real. However, they seem to not understand that central A/C could mitigate the vast majority of their problems.

All of Europe is so anti-air conditioning and it's retarded. Hawaii is similar as well. The one time I've been to Hawaii, room service would turn the air conditioner off while we were out of our room and it pissed me off so much because all I wanted was a cool room to come to after the beach. We put that thing as low as it would go every time we were inside just to piss off the libs there.
The one time I've been to Europe and didn't have problems with air conditioning was when I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Rome. Turned on the air conditioner in the room and they never touched it, but everywhere else we stayed they'd either not have it as an option or would turn it off every time we left.

I mean, in the summer the average temp in Paris is mid-70s high/mid-50s low. They only average about 10 days a year that get up to 90 or above.
Nobody is buying a whole central unit for 10 days.

Yes, put them to work! They can wind up those windmills as well as anyone.

They don't produce enough power over there to use it! and when you do get A/C there is a federal mandate that it can't be below 19C
