You probably know he was a Republican Congressman from Iowa but he was a prep school roommate of David Eisenhower and was his best man in his wedding to Julie Nixon as well.

Went to Harvard and was in an improv group with Jane Curtin. He’s an interesting guy.

My central heat has been struggling mightily. It was running when I woke up at 0630 and just now shutoff for the first time.

Losing the school will hurt the property value of a very unique neighborhood. I’d hate to see it go.

Yeah, I love the vibe of the area and think it would be cool if they could figure out a way to make it work there financially. Build new school multi stories or something, do they could deal with space issues. I know several folks that live near it and are heart broken not just because of property values but what the loss of the school will mean to their neighborhood.

I got my old gas fireplace running. I removed the logs like 10 years ago and they have been in my garage since.

I completely forgot I still had them. Hooked it up and all is running well. Don’t smell any gas, so at least we have one heated room.

No that sounds terrible. Wasn’t trying to have a dick measuring contest or have anyone feel sorry for me.

With that being said, may be released today just found out. If anyone hears which bridge or route is “less dangerous” to make it from LC to Sulphur please let me know. Won’t be til 4ish though

When our power goes out, the water does too.

When things look like they're headed in the outage direction, fill up your bathtubs.
At least you will have water to flush down the turds.

I feel your pain bro. My son has been in the hospital for a week due to complications of asthma from a virus (no Covid). Feel like he could have been discharged yesterday, but they kept him a day because of the road conditions. If we didn't have bad luck, we wouldn't have any at all right now.

Willing to bet the white folks will leave the area and it will become another shooting gallery. Haven’t looked close but assume diocese is figuring it’s better to take claim fund and move?

It was a planned outage. Entergy imposed it so that we wouldn't blow the system with an overload on demand. How nice of them to let us get our coffee and start the morning and then flip the switch. Supposedly they are going to turn on power throughout the day to certain areas for a few hours at a time to help level demand.

They knew all along what they were going to do, but them along with the elected officials wouldn't say anything so that panic wouldn't set in. Goes to show how low we are on the totem pole. Just another day in the life of a peasant I reckon.

The new site is half the price of rebuilding at the old location.

Ok, it’s moving out to 397 then done deal.
My school in ellick had to pull 7-8 grades from the 3 feeders to stay in business.
S LC really need another high school but the SB will never get another bond passed due to their screwing of S LC previously.
