Had a similar situation happen to me when cruising through the Rocky Mountains in Colorado about 20 years ago. I was in the lead with a buddy following me and rounding a sweeper when a big white bird suddenly flew onto the roadway and caught my crash bar about 18 inches off the ground.

I was running about 70 at the time and it just exploded into a mass of white feathers like someone cut open a pillow. My buddy got the worst of it.

Narrowly missed getting clobbered by a wild turkey while riding a motorcycle on a state highway in Oklahoma. I guess that would have been payback for every Thanksgiving dinner I ever ate.
