I used a lot of prilosec. But since I stopped drinking, over-eating, and late night snacking ... my problems went away.

14 day Prilosec cycle about 4-5 times a year. Famotidine intermittently in between. If it is still bothering you that bad, bite the bullet and change your diet to blander foods for a few weeks.

There is a new formula Zantac on the shelves, but I haven't tried it yet since I have some Omeprazole.
Angostura cocktail bitters with soda and an optional squeeze of lemon wedge works too if you have some handy.

Table spoon of baking soda and a few ounces of water. After a few minutes you have to burp. Problem solved

I sold acichex and nexium. Take nexium, aka esompeprazole. It works at at a better ph of the stomach. It takes a day or two to kick in, so you may need a quick fix. It is a PPI vs pepsid which is an h2 blocker.

My wife is going through this currently. Actually turned out to be gallstones and she has to have gallbladder removal surgery. Just something to look into if your issues don’t get fixed

Prilosec. Pretty sure the 14 day warning is only without a prescription. I really don’t like taking it but the stuff just works. Still, diet modification and weight loss should go along with a PPI.

I take omeprazole (Prilosec) every single day.

I actually don't get heartburn from foods. I get it from drinking alcohol. It used to be that I'd only get it if I was drinking multiple days in a row, like on vacation, so I'd just take a 2 week round of omeprazole leading up to it. But I dug into it online and saw it isn't dangerous to take the OTC omeprazole every day, so now I do.

Prilosec. Awesome stuff. I take it about every third day.
It has allowed me to enjoy orange and grape juice.

The generic from Target or Walmart works perfectly fine.

Same with me. That was the first think I notices. I also lost weight and felt better. I limit my intake now that I have been doing this over a year. I have more energy and no more heart burn.

If you have heartburn everyday you should go see a gastro and have them check you, including an upper gi endoscopy. You can develop a condition called Barrett’s esophagus that can lead to esophageal cancer.

Technically yes, but they will sell a 42 pack 3 14 day treatments) at Costco for around 13 bucks, 10 if you find it on sale
