The hopes for doing so is that the message would be visible from the air and thereby initiating a rescue attempt. It is intimated that the simple message of "HELP" does not work due to planes simply flying by without notice. Due to the lack of results and after much thought and consideration, the message in the sand is changed to "I have 9mm". This new message is ultimately successful by the indications of the final panel. The chosen message of "I have 9mm" was especially effective, playing on the prevailing desire of gun enthusiasts to purchase hard-to-find 9mm ammo. The desire is apparently so great that consumers will go to great lengths to find ammo and will search in obscure places, thereby leading them to the isolated location and rescue of the lead character. The change in messaging indicates the protagonist was creative and wise in her decisions due to reaching her desired outcome.

Based on the level of intelligence and creativity shown in the meme, the apparent ability to survive and thrive in harsh environments, the assumed wealth from her traveling alone across vast oceans, her low body fat but accentuated feminine features, and her red hair, I hereby nominate her for the OT10 tournament.
