I own a 69 300 convertible that is essentially the same car. With the 440, you can cruise all day long at 90 to 100 without strain. In the convertible, the wind noise is surprisingly low and it is not uncomfortable at all at high speed. It actually was a very well designed "fuselage" car.

Dad's ride. My brother always asked to borrow the car on Saturday. Come to find out my brother would head to a friend's house, mod the engine a tad and head to Capital Raceway. My parent's didn't know but did wonder why the tires were getting worn quickly. It all came to an end one night when my brother brought home a 5' tall trophy from the drag strip. My Dad made my brother buy the car from him the next day.

This sweet ride with the covers that opened when the headlights came on. There always seemed to be a VW Bug in the driveway, usually with the rear fenders chopped so that it could accommodate some mud grips.

Olds 88

I (wife) had a '90 Eighty Eight Brougham. It was the most reliable car I have owned to this point. I can't recall replacing anything on it other than the usual wear and tear items and everything worked when I sold it. Paint went to shite like many other Olds and Buicks of that era, but that was no fault of mine.

My grandmother bought one of these when the 4, 6, 8 thing first came out. She bitched about that car every time I saw her.

84 I think.

My pops was a huge car guy. He drove something different every few days.

This was my favorite...first pic I saw with the big block hood and open road exhaust.

68 427 tri-power with a 4 speed.

That was Dad's '79 LeSabre. We called it "the Dinosaur"

What's funny is the maroon crown vic you pictured:

Is what sat in the garage from 84-87 until I turned 15 at which time I was cursed with it until 1990.
It was an old unmarked unit, a 1980, with a re-built engine and white flashing lights mounted inside the grill. Of course, we rigged them to a toggle switch that hung loose under the dash, and I pulled over many friends in Pointe Coupee parish with it.

We called it "the Demon"
