Someone on FB is saying they heard it was a military aircraft. I can’t confirm that though. There has been a lot of military traffic the past few weeks…c17’s and such.
That’s year round. And 9 casualties is low unless coming back empty if that is the case.

At approximately 2:33 PM, Sheriff's Office dispatch received report through the Rapides 911 center of a possible downed aircraft near Cotile Lake in Boyce.
Deputies.responded, but were advised by residents of the area that they thought the aircraft may have went down in Red Store Hill Road near Boyce.
RPSO Cotile Volunteer Fire, Pafford Ambulance and Air Resources and Louisiana State Police all shifted their efforts over to the Red Store Hill Road area.

Played in a golf tournament there last week, lots of aircraft departing, no visible markings, a few military jets, even fewer commercial passenger airline planes. Was really surprising…

Crew for C-130 would be 5. Don’t know of a MIL aircraft with a crew of 9.

Yeah, at this point, have to wait for more information.
Possibly a C-5, 6-8 crew on that.

The point is, that’s the plane that went down. The playback on flight 24 shows exactly that.

It went from 28,000ft to ground level in 2 minutes. That has to be terrifying
