I owned a '90 Bronco.
This is terribly depressing. I had such high hopes; now those hopes are dashed.

This might be the worst transition from concept to production I've ever seen. The "concept" was modeled after the Raptor (as pictured by another poster halfway through page one of this thread). They've really screwed that up, I mean frick...look at the thing.

That is awful.

If they wanted it to be similar to the later model broncos, they should have gone with something like this.

They shouldn't have gone away from this concept if they wanted it to look like the early models.

Your point?

It doesn't make sense for the Bronco to built on the F150 platform. The new Bronco will probably compete with the Wrangler. It would make sense for them to build it on the Ranger platform.

Not to mention, the new Ranger will likely have diesel engine option LINK

The new ranger looks almost like a carbon copy of the Colorado. I hate that there is no originality in the different trucks anymore.

It's a mid size pickup. What exactly were you expecting?

Dodge has given up on that segment. Toyota is pretty much king with Tacoma. The midsize pickup market seems to be in a grey zone. They want to build something capable. But you don't want it to come anywhere close to overshadowing your full size class.

My point was there used to be a distinct difference between vehicles. a Ranger didn't look anything like an S-10 or Dakota etc.. Now, they all look pretty much the same and you have to search to find the differences, that's all.
