I cannot get over the number of people I see outside walking, jogging, riding their bike. Normally I see a couple/few, but now I see countless people.

I also can't believe how many people are outside just being active and actually talking to their neighbors from their yard to the other. Imagine that. Actually talking to people instead of through a machine.

Our neighborhood is pretty popular for walking, jogging, biking under normal circumstances but there are twice as many people out now.

I’ve noticed it also. Reminds you of the 80’s

Lol, not mine. Just started cutting the worst of it two days ago. It was probably an average of 18 inches in those two acres. I'm about to finish that section and the other 4 acres though. Will look fiya after the next cut. Looks like I'm ready to bail hay now.

I have said this will end up being a blessing in disguise.

- manufacturing will come back
- globalism will take a hit
- kids outside
- families doing things together

Same here, and with kids. I have never seen so many kids out walking or riding bikes.

It helps that the majority of the nation is getting the best outdoors weather since last Fall. This shutdown could not have come at a better time for someone who enjoys being outdoors.

My FIL owns a bike shop. He’s selling more bikes now per day than he has in 5+ years. I guess people can only binge watch TV for so long. Couldn’t be happier for him.

The Shielas are out in force in my neighborhood, they were even before the weather turned nice but now it’s a GD parade out there.

Seen dads out shooting hoops and throwing a ball with kids that I have never once seen doing it before. Pretty awesome. I haven't even gotten up to the big park with the running/walking trail. Heard it and the high school tracks are filled with people, all keeping their distance, but all getting out and getting some exercise.

Yeah, the yoga pants and more are cool but good for those that were out of shape too. Hopefully it's something they continue when we're back to normal.

All you fatasses will go back to being fat and ignoring your families the second the government tells you it's okay.

Ah, an optimist

But got to agree OP. Been pretty cool driving through the neighborhood and seeing so many people just enjoying the outdoors like the good ole days. America handling another national crisis like a bunch of fricking champs

My neighborhood is one of those putting bears in windows for kids to go on " bear hunts" it is awesome to see the little ones out in the fresh air...running around like we used to do.

It’s been awesome not only because kids are finally spending more time outside but the parents are spending time with their kids.

I’ve also noticed for the most part people being more polite than normal.

This thing sucks but awesome things will come from it. I will say this again about the economy: When this is over we will see an economic boom of epic proportions. POTUS will cut even more regulations and businesses will be chomping at the bit to bring manufacturing back from China.
