Pool and spa question

About to build this... Any cons to this pool spa combo setup? And most do's on pools or spas?

The only thing I wished we had was a sun/Baja shelf.
I'm really the only one that uses the spa, unless my kids want to "swim" in the winter.
We also added a waterfall to the back wall a couple years after we built the pool. Add that shite the first time.
We live ours and live out back in the summers.

Water fountain is in a super shitty place.
Why not put some rock formation at end of pool and have a fountain/stream/waterfall going into the pool?
And you better get some one to take care of the pool, it can become a chore you will hate.

That water fountain will not be there... We are just putting travertine and still unsure what we will do with that space

That's a great feature.
I've been thinking about adding a hot tub that would spill into the pool and hence doubling as a heater.

Even in Highland Park you will see two similar houses and the one without a pool is always more. The only place you can say that isn't the case is trashy arse areas.

I would move the whole pool and deck closer to the fence away from the house and cut the size of the spa in half. Put the spa on the side away from the house as well.

Simply not true
Nearly every home here has a pool. Most of us entertain, and a pool with an outdoor kitchen is every bit apart of it. Nothing worse than a nice home with curb appeal and have a empty backyard with nothing more than a slab with a table and chairs.

Pretty stupid statement. While installing a pool may reduce the numbers of buyers it can actually increase value to those who want a pool.

The answer to the question of by whom and how your pool will be used will determine how appropriate ypur design is for your situation .
The regular symmetrical layout you display is very easy to cover and thus heat in the winter

I have a Baja shelf and enjoy it. Although I don’t use it as much as I thought. The dog loves it though.My other thought is maybe add an access way into the spa from the pool. I frequently jump from pool to spa and it’s a pain without stairs.
