Dude, your entire post history has been a big "what if?" forthe past two weeks. Or did you forgot posting for 12 hours the other day about "what if?" the cops wouldn't have tackled sterling
I'm aware of my opinions on these cases. I've commended the officers commitment to non-lethal force multiple times in the Sterling thread. I've agreed that shooting was justified even if I think the tackle was a risky move that started the physical altercation and eventual shooting.
What that situation has to do with this though, I'm not sure.

I knew what he meant, dipshit. He meant I have the advantage of watching from the comfort of my office instead of standing there in the street.
My point is the cops, who are supposed to be trained, should have recognized after he was down, laying on his back thus preventing him from reaching whatever weapon they thought he had, should have realized he was no longer a threat and thus not shot him two more times.
The first shots, totally justified. The shots while he was down, not justified.

Holy shite. What about Sterling resisting even after being tased? You don't think that may have been the actual catalyst?
:ETA: Whoever downvoted please actually tell me why you disagree. I'd love to hear that.

I don't know how you can say that a guy acting erratically, walking slowly towards you while continually reaching behind his back while you are telling him that you will shoot him as not a threat?
I explicitly said "that does not mean he was not a threat." Almost everyone is a potential threat. Certainly, this guy presented a difficult situation for those officers. Was he an imminent threat? That is a pretty common legal standard applied to non-police. Guy was basically shot b/c he refused to prove he was not a threat. In most instances, I would like for officers to actually see a weapon before they open fire, but often that seems not part of the calculus.

What's my point? Lawd Jesus hepp this child. This whole thing is a consequence of HIS intentional, bad decisions. Just do what the cops tell you, comply, and heed to authority and all is well. You have nothing to hide, then comply. Simple. Something tells me you're the type that blames everything on others, tho.
I figured this would be the response. Comply or die.

Congrats on only taking 15 minutes to figure it out.

frick taking a chance when he's still moving. That's not the cop's responsibility as far as I'm concerned. Why are you so concerned for the criminal and trying to make the cops the criminals?

Yes, it happens quickly. Yes, emotions are incredibly high. No, that doesn't excuse every time the police are wrong.
I agree with all of this. Doesn't make this shooting either unjustified or an execution. The officers will have to answer for every shot. The further down the string we go in this shooting, it has less support, I'll agree.
Do I think that lethal force was justified here? Yes. Do I think every single shot is justified here? I'll wait for the final report.

Any other cliched catch phrases you'd like to use instead of actually addressing people?

While he's on the ground and gut shot? C'mon man I know you see the difference.

Well I guess it's like I said earlier, police forces across the nation should change their policy on deadly force to say that if it has to be used, the cops are to keep shooting the suspect until there's no doubt they're dead irregardless of they're still a threat or not.

Does that phrase not sum up his position nicely? Non-compliance doesn't excuse any and all actions by the police after that point.
