Somebody must have really wanted their BBQ.

A spray of gunfire near 25th and Benton Avenue caught officers by surprise, as they responded to a call concerning stolen barbecue equipment. Police recovered a huge meat smoker that belongs to the American Royal Barbecue and, according to barbecue festival leaders, is valued at roughly $20,000.

You haven’t grilled until you’ve grilled on a Kalamazoo grill.

Article says there was a BBQ festival. I’m sure nobody thought twice about somebody moving a smoker.

Probably going to be sold for scrap, it is amazing what the metal scavengers can make off with.

That looks like a Southern Pride 500 or 700. The number indicates how many pounds pf pork butts it will hold. They are great smokers. You can buy a used 500 in good shape for around $10,000.
