Those are 2 different events. The person he shot a year before this incident was not running but about to aim his pistol, which was found at the scene, at the officer’s partner. He shot and killed him.

This incident: suspect ran, he chased, he shot and missed. As stated before, I am fine with his firing for this incident, but his firing had nothing to do with the justified shooting he had previously.

Yeah, okay, and if anyone else Gary was rooting for wasn’t permitted to have their counsel present, there would be protests and anarchy.

I was making the point that if this were a private sector role, the officer would have been fired and it would have been the end of the story.
