Anyone play Texas Holdem at Lauberge in BR? Is there an open cash table at all times? I’m looking to play cash or small tourney. TIA

They have poker but its hard to get on a table without having to wait. I heard they have a tournament every Sunday.

They have constant cash games going.
Once you’ve been once or twice you can ask for the poker room phone # and prevent the wait somebody mentioned.
But yes, you will have to go and probably get on a waiting list for the game you want. 30 minutes max.
Lots of sharks at L’Auberge.
And they’re there every night to 5 nights a week and it’s the same guys.
Just sit down, don’t talk, go on heavy drinking nights, and get lucky with a table that has a drink at it.

Download the Bravo Poker app. It will show what tables are running, what the wait list looks like, and any promos or tournaments that are upcoming

Currently

1 1/3 NLH table with 6 waiting
2 4/8 LH table with 2 waiting

They do a $100 tourney on Sundays at 11, $50 tourneys on Monday and Wednesday at 11 I think also. They almost always have a 1-3 NL game going. As someone said, majority of players are regulars and play very solid. Biloxi and Harrahs in New Orleans are definitely easier money.

Sounds like an awesome time. Fascinated by these poker star wannabes who will go and sit stoic for ten hours to come out $200 ahead. Do the math on your hourly income frick heads. I blow in, drink like a fish for free and win some / lose some. I generate the same practical winnings and at least have fun.

Or maybe they just enjoy playing poker

poker is a social game

poker can only be sustained with plenty of fish

fish want to have fun

if you want to kill a local poker industry, get a consistent game of 6-7 quiet guys on their tablets with a rotation of 2-3 spots for fish

And taking the shite heads money that are happily losing it to me because they’re “getting free drinks and having a good time”

Yes I’ve done the math on my poker playing.
Actually quit my job when I did the math, but keep thinking it’s petty and not worth my time

The problem is BR only gets locals

NO and the MGC get tourists, LC and S'port get Texans.

I say this because as I mentioned, there are many sharks there and any inflection in your voice may cost you money.
And yes, it’s actually very fun to me.
You may be more social, enjoy your roulette wheel maybe?

If you’re a tournament player, they have 3 tournaments per week.

Monday + Wednesday ($60 buy-in)
Sunday ($100 buy-in)

They have 1-3 No Limit that starts around noon every single day.

4-8 Limit, they have early games that start around 8:30 am on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Some last all day, some don’t.

4-8-12 Half & Half (Limit Hold em and Omaha) starts every Friday morning at 8 am.

It's not just only getting locals that sucks. It's the location of the poker room. Way in the back next to that shitty band area. If they moved it up front, there'd be a lot more walk-in action and you could actually hear eachother on band nights. Casino keeps it in the back to try sucker players into slots or table games on the walk in/out.

Idk man. Betting pot gives villain 2 to 1 pot odds. And he may be playing fold or shove.
