Podcast Board: Serial ft Adnan Syed

Holy hell I’m 9 episodes deep into this podcast and the host, Sarah Koenig, made this entire podcast to justify her own beliefs of why Adnan is not guilty. She glosses over major facts that implicate him and relies on how innocent he sounds. The dude is clearly guilty and is a sociopath who is a smooth talker.
I can’t believe how much press this podcast got. Frankly it’s terrible when compared to a podcast such as Your Own Backyard which covers a similar subject.

There’s an entire doc on HBO I believe with the podcast folks on this case. Came out like last year.

Crime Junkies did a podcast on what they left out of serial. Worth a listen IMO

What's the deal with Jay?

He calls Nisha when he’s supposed to be at track. He says he butt dialed her and it went to her answering machine. She doesn’t have an answering machine...
His phone is in Leakin Park where the body was found.

Yea but didn't he say he left his phone in his car and Jaye had his car and was going to pick him up from track that day?

I didn't get that at all. I think she liked Adnan, and from all accounts most people that met him liked him. Everyone said he was a nice, charismatic guy. But she also challenged and questioned a lot of his story throughout the season.

He’s guilty asf and I think even Sarah Koenig realizes that now. She got duped by his Big Brown Cow Eyes and her white savior complex.
It’s interesting that the only people who think he’s innocent are women women.

She challenged it, but then summarily dismissed it instead to dig up hearsay ad hom attacks against Jay on how he was “weird” or “too white for a black guy”, etc

I mean, Jay's story was shady and there were a lot of discrepancies in what he told people, including the police.
Adnan's story didn't quite add up either, but his story was mostly consistent all along. But his story has a lot of holes in it as well.
My guess is Jay and Adnan killed her together.

Serial is a pretty good podcast. I haven't listened to the ones about this guy, though I did watch the documentary.

The most damning thing, albeit wildly circumstantial, is that he never even tried to call her after her "disappearance" became public.

Yeah after the police contacted him you would think the first thing he would do it attempt to cal her. If she was hiding out or whatever she would likely answer a call from her “good friend.”
Btw why is this anchored?
