I recommend watching all of it when you can pay attention, including the commentary at the end. Good stuff

Well, your allegiance has to lie somewhere...to which country would your rather pledge your allegiance to?

It's garbage, bro. Anyone can say they pledge their allegiance. You pledge your allegiance in actions. This shite like honoring flags and verbal pledges are hollow gestures to make people who don't actually do anything feel better about themselves.

You want to pledge your allegiance? Go fricking volunteer your time to vets.

Hard to believe so many "conservatives" are so committed to such a collectivist type activity.

Starts with “I”.
Ends with “all”.

Pretty cool.

Truth. The flag and national anthem are superficial. Ever wonder why fanatics don't honor the real icon of our republic, the Constitution?

Dumb arse.

The Declaration of Independence is the real icon of America.

It gives freedom. The constitution limits it.

Nope.
I read them.
They are 180° different.

The American Revolution is the Declaration of Independence. Not the battles around it nor the constitution.

Excerpt from the Declaration of Independence:
quote:

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

You don't seem to understand that the DoI came about because of the King of Great Britain's disdain for our constitution, or fundamental principles, under which colonial Americans sought to govern themselves. The Constitution came about as a result of the DoI and the subsequent Revolutionary War and is the set of principles under which we still govern ourselves.

The DoI is not a similar set of principles. Rather, it's a statement as to why the colonial-era states declared themselves to finally be separate from the Crown.

The Declaration of Independence threw off the Divine Right of Kings. It was a game changer.

In fact until Common Sense was published, most in the colonies were hoping things would just settle down.

That all changed after the focus was intensified by Common Sense, the Tea Party, patriot activities and the death warrant the signers of the Declaration of Independence undertook by affixing their signature to the document.

The Constitution came later after all the fuss had died down and is vastly secondary to the importance of the Declaration of Independence.

America is great because of the Declaration of Independence. It is our birth certificate. The constitution is a limiting document and of less value to the greatness of our nation.
