I wonder how many schools will go this route this year.

Karen will demand half of Braylynn’s tuition back if it goes down like this.

My kids school is K-12 so while my current oldest in school is 8th grade I know several of the Sr. class. I feel bad for them, I can’t imagine having your senior year of high school upended like this.
At that age a lot of kids don’t have the perspective to know the reality of their senior year not being a big deal. They must feel like their world is crashing down around them. For our kids they usually have a mission trip to Mexico, a ski trip, a good musical production (this year was Bye Bye Birdie), and evening just being around your classmates - all gone with no warning. Poof.

My daughter is a high school senior (absolutely not!) and she is not happy about how school ended.
But her real worry is college being online this Fall.

I mean no offense, but it would suck for a senior to miss prom and graduation. My little sister in law is in this boat. She got her prom dress in the day JBE closed school. She was really upset. They’re holding out hope they’ll still get to walk. It’s a pretty big event in a kids life, arguably the first major milestone they’ll remember.
Imagine all the kids taking STEM classes that are missing core fundamentals right now. April is a big month for closure of concepts, especially in mathematics. This sucks.

Seniors in HS are probably the group I feel the least bad for.
