quote:Yes in that the people who are quick to correct that are, like the modern impact user, mostly clowns trying to prove how legit they are.
Is calling an impact driver a “drill” the equivalent of calling a magazine a “clip?”

I actually agree. I only use an impact driver for deck screws.
Milwaukee 12v ratchets in 1/4 and 3/8 is the correct method for what most people use impact drivers for.

Thank god someone finally said it.

Waiting for you to reference your training and how superior you are to everyone because you’re a mentorship trained mechanic

I won't do that, but you're welcome to ask one.
This is 100% the truth. Every day small task DIY-ers do not need an impact, and you're causing more harm than good and you do look silly to those people.

ur getting flamed but I kinda agree with out. Every diyer who changes their plugs thinks they need to use an impact to remove the coilpacks. Bro, it will take you 1 minute longer to use a ratchet and you remove the risk of hitting fwd instead of reverse and breaking the coilpack or stripping the aluminum.
I bought a 3/8 20v dewalt a couple years ago and it remained in its box until I decided I wasn't ever going to use it and sold on ebay a few months ago.
Did the whole timing belt. pulleys, waterpump, radiator on my 4.7 yota and never felt I needed to get the impact out of its box.

You are making your vehicle less safe because it's designed for hand-tight tolerances
Are you high or just retarded?

My neighbor left behind his Rybobi impact driver when he moved out. I've been having all kinds of fun with it over the past two years. Just spent the past two weeks repairing my privacy fence with it.

I don't think Bill's meme supports your posts here like you believe it does.

You're the same person who said every bolt/screw on a vehicle is designed to be hand tightened.

I can see the humor in it.
The responders are a lot more butthurt and offended than I am, because I am right in my attack on them. I've enjoyed correctly striking the nerve

This is certainly a topic worth drilling down on this saturday afternoon.

And you're still too dumb to understand the point. You do have a valid one, but it got quickly lost in all your ignorant babbling.

No I didn't
Yes you did.
I asked you a question that you refused to answer. Which was, if nearly everything is designed to be hand tightened, why does every service manual list different torque specs for most everything? This issue is separate from your complaint about impacts, but you can't see that.
