Not that it matters, but didn’t the initial report state that Jr. was already in ATL?
Prayers sent to all affected by this tragedy. Very sad.

Yes, but most of the initial reports were wrong.

He was on call and forced in?

Regardless, she was on the plane because he was working. I answered the question. Chill out.

I was just pointing out that you seemed to have made that up.

Prayers sent to the families. I can’t imagine what Chris is going through right now. Wife, son and business partner all gone. It’s tough to think about.

That would haunt me forever, knowing I missed the last opportunity to talk to my spouse and say I love you to them.
Then it goes back to the last time he DID talk to her and it was the “last opportunity”

For the girl that was burned in the car. She’s in great hands. Dr Carter the man at UMC doing ALL burn cases is a miracle worker. I’ve first hand seen what he can do using the new technology in burn treatment. Glad to know she’s got the best of the best caring for her.

How bad off is she with the burns? And Wasn’t there another girl in the plane with 100% burns? How is she doing

Not sure on either one. I just know at least 1 made it to UMC Burn Center.... the one with the go fund me had updates on the page saying they would be there 4 weeks so looks like they will make it, thankfully

Bump for facts (if anyone has them and is willing).
Some reports say the plane rolled, suggesting dead engine.
Some reports say it was trailing smoke.
Some say it hit a power line.
All I can tell for sure is that the crash field was pretty much on a straight line from Runway 22 at LFT.
Does anybody have any hard intel?

Am I reading right that the payload with max fuel is only 898 pounds? It has been a long time since I had to do weight and balance, but with six passengers, that ain't much.

Some relatives commercial flight out of Ellick was delayed a couple of hours Saturday due to the Laffy plane crash. I thought that was weird.

I think the airplane was a Cheyenne, don't know which model but six people and their bags would be pushing it for a flight of any duration, if he lost an engine at that weight shortly after takeoff the remaining engine would be little more than an escort to the scene of the crash
