got gas at LA Rouge mart on Jefferson an hour ago. Took about 20 minutes.
Did you do. 15 year fixed or go with an adjustable rate? What’s your long term goals?

Download the app Gas Buddy. It's people reporting which gas stations are open and has fuel. In the search filter, type "has gas" to see which stations are available.

Tanked up at B Quik on Perkins, about 45 minute wait. Can only enter coming from College Drive. Very organized with 5 or 6 employees coordinating entrance and pump numbers.

Filled up at the Racetrack on Seigen off of I-10 this morning. Was about a 40-45 minute wait, but a Sheriff’s officer was there directing traffic. A fuel truck pulled up to dump more gas as I was in line. Left at 7:15ish and the line was probably an hour long at that point, but well organized and moving quick enough.
Good Luck BR OTers!

If yall need gas and want reasonable wait times, I suggest getting up no later than 4AM and heading out. You will have a much more pleasant experience than any other time of day.
I don't even attempt to fill up in baton rouge past like 6 AM, I just start driving towards lafayette and grab anything with a reasonable wait.

I find this very necessary. In a public setting after a crisis... if people are left to make decisions they will end up wasting too much time to decide what to do. And what they decide often is the wrong course of action, wasting everyone’s time. People need to be told what to do so it’s efficient for everyone. When they get home, they can do what they want.
Yesterday at a pump, this idiot tried to make a 2nd line. Of course, the got trapped from all sides. I was on his left, parked utility van in the front, cars behind him following his lead, concrete wall on the right. Predictably, he attempted to nudge in front of me. This woman (an employee) came out of no where and said “you can’t do that”. Right before the pumps, these 2 OGs were telling people to pull in ahead or around to which pump. These people are heroes.

I wouldn't even really mess with Baton Rouge gas stations unless they're not on main streets. Just go across the river.

While waiting in line at a Circle K last weekend I saw a guy tank up his pickup, then walked into the store leaving his truck at the pump while he was in the store for ten minutes buying water and a few supplies. He was totally oblivious to the line of cars stretched behind him.
Its also irritating to have to wait for lottery ticket purchases to be conducted in the store during a time like this.
