Oh no. Propaganda is going away. So sad.
Not so much going away as shifting forms and formats

Next time you're up there, go check out the Apple Inn in Dormont, my cousin is a bartender there. Ask for Bill.
Ha! I had an apartment in Dormont close to the corner of Broadway and Lasalle and the Apple was my local watering hole from about 2004-2009. I forget the owners name, but he'd always serve pickles that he made or other random stuff from his garden... He also would take bets for you as well
Good times; I miss that place.

It's true that the internert killed newspapers, but it's not so much Youtubers and bloggers that is killing them.
Thirty years ago, newspapers were Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, except everybody had to pay for their ads.
Newspapers were also Zillow and Tinder.
The Sunday Atlanta paper would have a classified ads section that was about an eighth of an inch thick, and every pace would have at least 20 little ads on it.
40-50 percent of a lot of regional newspapers' revenue was classified ads.
So in that sense, it's true that the internet killed newspapers.

Block Communications, which owns the Post-Gazette, has lost $350 Million over the last 20 years. They also just lost their arse in a writers' strike that just got resolved.
I think I see the problem. Congrats, newspaper union. You won the battle but by killing the paper, you lost the war.
Unions had their purpose. But now, this is the yin to that yang. They could probably sell the name/archives/history to a non-union collective and start making money again.

I miss walking down the driveway with a cup of coffee to grab the morning paper. Sit and look through the sports box scores, then hit the front page. Life was better if not as convenient.

This happened after a judge sided with the union.
The union probably asked for too much and that was the final straw.
I was debating someone on reddit who claimed to be on the union’s executive committee. Of course he feels, they aren’t asking for too much.
He didnt seem to get it when I said they needed to cut costs to stay alive. They could have stayed in business for a few more years, if the union played their cards right. It probably would have required concessions but thats better than being out of a job.

The Pittsburgh Press also went down after a union dispute.
