I don't get it. What is the fascination with these dogs with so many people. Yeah I know the whole Pit Bull ppl are trashy and to some point I will agree. But I know a few ppl who you would never consider be trashy and they love them to death. Raise their kids with them, which I think is insane. Even if you believe it is how you raise them ( which I do not ) Why would you let little kids be around them.

No idea, reminds me of Muslims. Yea most of them are great but a small percent of them are pure evil and want nothing more than your blood. Why take the chance?

I don't get it either. It's just not worth the risk. There are thousands of dogs that would do just fine. SMH

There are two types, the scumbags who think having a "tough" dog is cool, and the scumbags who are damaged people who think they'll be redeemed by loving this "maligned" breed.

I think each owner will have a bit of a different story

Some might have dog as a rescue, some might have because they grew up with them, some might have to make a point that the dog is not a bad breed

I think that owning a pit is the pet equivalent of mudsharking

Stupid people have stupid dogs. It's a solid reflection of the owner. And mostly its to get attention.

I view a pit like a bully: I have zero sympathy or emotion and whatever happens I could care less

Even better, they hear story after story of pits that never were a problem before they suddenly snapped and assume that 100% of those incidents are solely because the owners were bad and failed to properly care for the dog. They never consider the possibility that some of these incidents happened to people just like them and that it could actually happen to them too.

Which raises the question of why do girls become mudsharks.

FWIW I found out the other day a friend of mine's sister has become a mudshark. Funny because it was suspected for awhile that she was a lesbian

To a point it is how the dog is raised but at the end of the day this breed was created to fight. Why take the risk if you have small kids, it makes no sense.

You don't know? If you own a pit bull it gives you automatic street cred. You're instantly a badass. Until that motherfricker bites my kid then you're fricked.

I actually enjoy watching videos of police shooting pit bulls that attack.

One of the best dogs we ever had was a pit bull. We would ride him wrestle with him, pull his ears and tail....never so much as nipped one of us.

But my Dad got rid of him when he caught him eating his chickens. He would not tolerate a chicken-eating dog.

Pit Bulls are good dogs right up to the moment they aren’t.

I know all dogs can bite, but most won’t try and rip you or your kids faces off.

I have a couple bad experiences with them.
