Please note,
EVERY SINGLE pitbull ownner, whose killing machine has maimed or killed another human being.......
at one time, said these exact same words. Every single one.
Not all pitbulls do bad things, but all of them can.
Simple as this, if you knew that 1 out of 1 TRILLION lollipops would kill you, how many would you be willing to eat?
How many would you pass around to your children ??

So I'm going to guess you have never been around a Pit or know much about dogs in general to come up with a bullshite statement like that. I've been around Pit Bulls many times and never had a problem with one of them.
The problem is the owners and that goes for owners of any breed. There are people out there that have no business owning dogs because they don't want to put in the work training them.
If you are a dog owner and have small children, it is your responsibility as a parent to teach your kids how to act around animals and to supervise them while interacting with it. You never leave a child unattended in the presence of an animal that's capable of doing lethal damage, doesn't matter if it's a pit, lab, or German shepherd.
The problem is the owners and that goes for owners of any breed. There are people out there that have no business owning dogs because they don't want to put in the work training them.

This is simply ignorant. Typical hubris..... you think that the how many?? 20 - maybe 50 (yeah right) pitbulls you have been in direct contact with means what?? That you can speak on the entire breed of dog?
STATS prove, that one type of dog -- ONE TYPE, attacks and maims at a far greater percentage.... care to guess which breed?
So no other breed of dog has bad owners? That is the conclusion you LEAP to?
All dogs have good and bad owners, but ONLY ONE kills and attacks at this rate.
It is the parents fault to teach the KIDS, not the dogs fault.

As many as I wanted, the risk of dying from the side effect of a prescription drug, or being killed in a plane crash is literally a million times higher, and I would have no qualms about doing those things everyday.

The problem with statistics on dog attacks is they're not completely reliable in many cases. Identification of breeds involved in attacks is often times sketchy and many mixed breed dogs get mislabeled as "pit bull type" or "pit mix".
Even in the studies that show the numbers that pit bulls account for the most attacks, the numbers are still very low considering the number of Pit Bulls that probably exist in the U.S. People just don't get mauled by dogs very frequently.
I never said Pit Bulls only kill when left unsupervised with a kid. You're being disingenuous and putting words in my mouth. The likelihood of it happening is greater was the only point I was trying to make and in a lot of cases I'm sure that is what you will find.

Parmen was being nice about just suggesting pits be muzzled. IMO, they shouldn't be allowed at public dog parks or anywhere near a public park with children.
I agree with your sentiments. I think of that beautiful and sweet Beagle that was mauled by a shite bull at Petsmart.
